Parallel Slide Gate Valves are designed for steam applications where thermal expansion can cause issues with standard wedge gate valves. These valves maintain excellent sealing performance without the wedging action, which can cause mechanical stress. The valve uses two parallel gates energized against the seat by springs or a wedging spreader bar.
